If you have eczema, your skin produces less sebum than usual. In this case, the skin’s ability to hold water decreases.

The space between the cells becomes wide because it cannot be filled with sufficient moisture. In this case, the water in the dermis is lost and steroids and bacteria can penetrate the skin more easily.This is why items like soaps and detergents can make eczema worse, and the following home remedies focus on strengthening the skin’s barriers and can fill in the gap between them.

The use of these substances can also reduce some problems such as inflammation and itching.

  1. COCONUT OIL

Let’s start with the simplest thing, coconut oil. Coconut oil has a very amazing effect on the skin and can fill the space between cells very well. In this case, the moisture of the skin is preserved and inflammation and itching are prevented.

This oil is also a fat, and as you know, oil and fat are good for preventing the skin from drying out and irritating.

 

Wash your hands with water and dry them. Apply coconut oil to the desired area and let it dry. Repeat during the day if necessary.

While coconut oil is really great, eczema is a very unique disease and not everyone can get rid of it easily. If this is the case for you, you can try jojoba oil. Although it is not really an oil, it is a liquid wax.

This substance can penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. Its molecular structure is very similar to the lipids found in the natural sebum of the skin. Formulated with long-chain fatty acids, it is ultra-rich and hydrating. Wash your hands with water and then dry.

Apply jojoba oil to the desired area and massage gently to absorb into the skin. This substance, as we have said, is very rich. So only a small amount of it will be enough. Apply this oil to the skin three times a day if necessary.

Fish oil can relieve severe eczema in some people. This oil will also dilute it itching and irritation caused by eczema  . Various studies show that people with atopic eczema have lower fatty acids than others.

N-6 and N-3 fatty acids are necessary to maintain normal skin function, and fish oil is rich in these fatty acids. Daily or weekly consumption of fish oil can have many benefits.

When it comes to dry, sensitive and aching skin, nothing beats a special body butter.

This combination contains 4 amazing healing properties which make it a great treatment for eczema. 

This butter has a high content of beneficial fatty acids, and most of its benefits are due to the presence of fatty acids in it and the ability of these ingredients to repair, heal and soften damaged skin is amazing.

It can also reduce inflammation, which is very annoying in case of eczema. Wax is also a medium used to make butter thicker, but it also helps care and soften the skin. Jojoba oil and coconut oil are other ingredients that are added to this formula.

To prepare this mixture, you will need the following ingredients :

  • Two tablespoons of butter
  • Two tablespoons of wax
  • Six tablespoons of coconut oil
  • Four tablespoons of jojoba oil
  • Lavender essential oil (optional)
  • clean glass bowl

Melt the jojoba wax and oil well in a saucepan. Once completely melted, add the coconut oil and stir. Finally, reduce the heat, add the piece of butter and stir until completely melted.

Pour the mixture into a clean bowl and add lavender essential oil if necessary. Put the lid on and let it cool slightly. Then apply it to the desired area.

  1. IN CASES WHERE THE OIL DOES NOT WORK, USE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS

Most  of the home remedies we mentioned for eczema  contain oil. While these treatments may work for some people, they may not work for others. Vegetable glycerin does not have a good reputation among the people.

Glycerol, is the main component in fats and is usually a by-product of industrial soap. What makes the difference between regular glycerin and vegetable glycerin is that the latter (vegetable glycerin) is vegetable. This substance is usually obtained from materials such as coconut or palm oil.

Regular glycerin is made from animal fats and is not of good quality. The purity of vegetable glycerin is 99.7%. Therefore, these substances have good moisturizing properties and can protect the skin from itching, burning and inflammation.

To do this, you will need the following materials:

  • vegetable glycerin
  • Distilled water
  • empty spray bottle

Use glycerin and water in a 1:1 ratio. Pour it into an empty spray bottle and shake it to mix the ingredients well. Spray on your skin if necessary. You can do this in 1-2 ratio, but it is better to start with lower ratios to see the reaction of the skin to this compound.

  1. MAKE LONG-TERM CHANGES

To get long-term relief, you need to make long-term changes.

Keep a small notebook and write down all the things that cause eczema over time.

To do this, you need oats and a sink. First, pour the oatmeal into a clean cloth and make sure it doesn’t come out. Fill a basin with water and put an oatmeal cloth in it.

Sit in it for 10 to 15 minutes, then dry it with a soft towel and apply your usual moisturizer.

  1. HERBAL TEA
