Description
DIRegEx is a useful library of various components and procedures that provide Delphi programmers with patterned regex expressions and Perl syntax. The components of this set can be fully used in Embarcadero / CodeGear / Borland environments. This library offers two different algorithms for implementing regex, both of which contain neat classes for convenient use in Delphi.
One of these classes is TDIPerlRegEx, which has implemented regex-related algorithms in a syntax similar to Perl language. This is because Perl is one of the most powerful languages in the field of working with regular expressions, and many programmers are used to the syntax of this language for working with regex. On the other hand, Perl language establishes a more suitable syntactic connection with regex. All this made this class to be provided with Perl language syntax. The next class is TDIDfaRegEx, in which DFA adaptive algorithms are implemented. DFA machines are one of the important topics in the field of pattern matching, which also has many applications in the field of artificial intelligence. By using this class, you can easily perform all kinds of matching for DFA.
Both of these classes are derived from TDIRegEx, which include general functions for pattern matching and searching, regardless of regex or DFA. DIRegEx has also considered components for editing and filtering expressions with rules, which can be used to control inputs, just like Delphi’s TMaskEdit control. For example, you can have a text box that only accepts certain expressions for input, for example, only numbers, phone numbers, expressions that start with a certain word or end with a word, etc.
