Description
Java 21 Java 17 Java 11 and Advanced Java 8 course. Java now has 4 LTS (Long Term Support) versions: 8, 11, 17, and 21. This course covers them all: Advanced Java 8 Programming addresses Java 11, 17, and 21 in addition to Java 11. This course is a successor to the “Complete Java 8 OCA (1Z0-808) Java Certification Course” which covers the fundamentals of Java in great detail. As a result, this course starts with lambdas, meaning that basics like classes, interfaces, operators, and methods are not in this course. It’s important to understand that while familiarity with Java is helpful, certification is definitely not a prerequisite. This course starts with advanced Java 8 topics – lambdas, streams, collections, generics, concurrency, and more. There are assignments for lambdas, streams, and collections. Then Java 11 is covered – LVTI, private interface methods, annotations, security and modules. Modules are reviewed in detail (with examples). Java 17 is covered next – sealed classes, records, switch statements, pattern matching and text blocks. An important assignment covering all topics is included. Finally, Java 21 is covered – anonymous classes and main instance methods, record patterns, pattern matching for switches and sequence collections. An assignment contains all topics that are based on a Java 17 assignment. All codes used during the course are available. The subjects are presented with general understanding and certification in mind, meaning this course is offered for both. In terms of certification, Java 8 OCP (1Z0-809), Java 11 OCP (1Z0-819), and Java 17 OCP (1Z0-829) are targeted. This course will be a great training support in conjunction with Enthuware’s excellent MCQ Certification tool (as there are no MCQs in this course). The theory of the topic is explained with many code examples used to reinforce the topic. The videos are annotated in detail to help the learner follow my explanations. Accessing the code is a great learning aid because you can run the code and see what happens when you change it. In addition, assignments/exercises are a great aid to learning.
