Description
PGI Visual Fortran or PVF for short is a set of efficient 32 and 64-bit Fortran compilers for the familiar Visual Studio environment. Using this tool, programmers can easily write Fortran codes in the powerful environment of Visual Studio and produce the desired output optimally by the compilers of this product. PGI Visual Fortran supports a wide range of platforms, including 32-bit and 64-bit multi-core systems, and allows programmers to automatically execute code written on multiple cores.
In addition to supporting multi-core processors and parallel programming, this product includes two HPC programming models, one of which is OpenACC, which, like OpenMP, is provided for 64-bit multi-core systems. This model adds its commands to the code in the form of preprocessor commands, which makes this code to be seen as a comment in other Fortran compilers and there is no problem to compile the code in other compilers, so coding with this model makes The portability feature of the code will still be maintained. The next model, which has been released in collaboration with NVidia, uses CUDA Fortran technology, which uses C side codes and takes the help of the GPU processing unit to increase the final code processing speed.
Features and features of PGI Visual Fortran:
- Functional and very efficient highlight syntax to simplify the coding process
- Automatic completion of codes based on entered keywords
- Powerful debug engine for Fortran codes
- Automatic analysis of dependencies
- Possibility of productive interaction with Microsoft C++
- Having a large number of projects ready to familiarize with different parts of the product
- Support for multi-threaded execution using intel kml 10.1 and higher
- Ability to build, run and debug MS-MPI programs
- And …
