All iPhone 13 models
All iPhone 13 – iPhone 13 models are equipped with Apple’s new ultra-wide camera, which increases the quality of photos and videos due to the larger aperture.
According to Barclays analysts Blaine Curtis and Thomas O’Malley, Apple is introducing a new ultra-wide camera for all its iPhone 13 series smartphones with an f / 1.8 aperture, which increases the amount of light entering the lens.
This information differs from the previous report of an analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo, who claimed that only iPhones of the Pro model will receive the new camera.
The new f / 1.8 lens increases the amount of light reaching the sensor compared to the current iPhone ultra-wide lens, which uses an f / 2.4 aperture.
Also compared to the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which uses a 1.52-inch lens, or the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, which uses a very large 1 / 1.54-inch sensor, it is possible that Apple has a 1/3 sensor size. Increase the current 6 inches for the iPhone 13.
Theoretically, when the aperture is wider, it means more light absorption, which in turn increases the quality of images and videos. This feature is especially useful for users in dark environments.
According to Barclays analysts, Apple will continue to use the 12-megapixel f / 2.2 and 65mm cameras with 2.5x magnification. It will also use this lens specifically for the iPhone 12 Pro Max this year and in the iPhone 13 series, and will extend its installation range from the Pro Max to the Pro.
Industry sources report that Apple will stick to its formula for using dual cameras on 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhones, and using a dual camera module on 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhones.
