AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards equipped with the latest technologies were introduced to compete with NVIDIA gaming graphics cards.
AMD unveiled its new RX 6000 series gaming graphics cards a few nights ago . Based on the new 7-nanometer RDNA 2 architecture, the AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards deliver twice the performance of AMD’s flagship graphics cards and also support Microsoft’s new DirectX 12 Ultimate EPI.

The most important model in this family is the Radeon RX 6800 XT, which is priced at $ 649. This graphics card is equipped with 72 computing pieces and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit wide memory bus. The 6800XT can run at a clock speed of 2015 MHz and will reach 2250 MHz in boost mode. AMD claims that the total power of this graphics card is 300 watts.
The 6800XT has 128 MB of cache, which AMD calls Infinity Cache. This high-density, high-speed cache is based on the Zen L3 cache. This minimizes DRAM latency and power consumption, especially at 1440p and 4K resolutions. AMD claims that by combining VRAM and Infinity Cache, it offers 2.17 times more efficient bandwidth on 384-bit GDDR6 memory.
AMD has also released charts comparing the performance of this new model to the RTX 3080. However, these charts may have only a marketing aspect; So we have to wait for the reviews of the professionals.
The next model is the RX 6800 priced at $ 579. Although Mel is weaker than XT, you do not lose much by having it. The biggest difference is in the number of computing components, which has increased from 72 to 60, and one of its Shader engines has been deactivated. Its clock speed is 1815 MHz in normal mode and 2105 MHz in boost mode. In addition, the Radeon RX 6800, like its predecessor, uses 16GB of GDDR6 memory with 128MB of Infinity Cache. And due to the fact that this model has been slowed down, its power range has also been reduced to 250 watts.
The 6800 competes with the $ 499 RTX 3070; Although a little more expensive. AMD shows in the charts that the 6800 is faster than the RTX 2080 Ti, which performs at the level of the RTX 3070.
Finally, the flagship Radeon RX 6900 XT, priced at $ 999, uses 80 computing pieces with the same clock speed as the 6800XT. Most of the technical specifications of these two models are the same.
