Description
Civil Engg – Structural Design of Pre-Engineered Building is a training course for modeling, analyzing and designing the structure of pre-engineered buildings. A prefabricated building or PEB is a metal structure that includes a building system, roof and walls. As its name suggests, it is engineered in the factory and will be integrated at the construction site. This style of structure is mostly used in industrial buildings, subway stations, canopies and warehouses. This course is a summary of IS design requirements and practical practice of design criteria, design load and capacity and other things that should be considered in PEB.
In this course, the instructor will introduce you to the path of PEB design in the construction engineering software. The process includes the modeling of columns, hangers, fasteners, applying fixed load, product load and capacity, thermal capacity and wind capacity.
What you will learn in Civil Engg – Structural Design of Pre-Engineered Building course:
- Learning to model, analyze and design PEB
- Ability to understand how to design steel structures
- Ability to calculate static load, effective load, earthquake load and wind load
