  1. Contains probiotics, polyphenols and nutrients

Coconut vinegar is often used as a rich source of many nutrients, so the sap is rich in  vitamin C and  potassium  . Vinegar also contains choline, vitamin B , iron , copper, boron, manganese,   phosphorous, and zinc.

More research shows that coconut vinegar provides a range of beneficial plant compounds that may protect the body from diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

Plus, due to the fermentation process that takes 8 to 12 months, coconut vinegar is a source of the gut-friendly bacteria known as  probiotics  .

However, there is research on how fermentation affects the vitamins and minerals of vinegar. It’s also good to remember that some manufacturers make coconut vinegar from coconut juice rather than coconut juice.
