Course description
Economics of Money and Banking is an educational course in the field of economics and banking system. In the last three or four decades, the institutions that make up the modern monetary system have undergone a significant evolution. The financial crisis of 2009-2007 is a wake-up call that we need a similar transformation in the analytical apparatus and theories we use to understand that system. This course, prepared and supported by the Institute for New Economic Thinking, is an attempt to initiate the process of new economic thinking by reviving and updating some of the forgotten traditions of monetary thinking that have recently come up.
