Ether One game If you are one of those people who are interested in solving the riddles of stories related to the lives of others and are willing to do so for this purpose, like a private detective, take notes of various past events and constantly review them until finally following the clues and Solve facts like puzzle pieces to solve a problem. Now imagine that you have the power to influence the memories of others, and the company hires you to solve the problems of certain people. This theme can be the perfect story theme for an exciting video game. Ether One is the first personal adventure by the independent British company White Paper GamesMade and deals with the fragility of the human mind. It was also the studio’s first production game, released in March 2014 for Microsoft Windows and the PlayStation 4 version on May 5, 2015. Examine the thoughts of Jane Thompson, a 69-year-old woman with dementia, and bring peace back to her life.

The player plays the role of “Restorer”, a person who has the ability to plan himself in the mind of someone suffering from mental illness. He is an employee of a futuristic memory retrieval company called the Telepathy Ether Institute. The institute is able to produce three-dimensional simulations of damaged memories and retrieve them. The restorer is tasked with penetrating Jane’s mind, researching her past, and using the details she obtains in Pinwheel to help the patient’s healing process. The project is led by Dr. Phyllis Edmunds, who appears as a guide as she reviews her memoirs. He claims that the project is on the verge of losing its budget and that the “Jane” case will determine the future of the institute.

The first adventure begins with a sick childhood memory in a seaside village, a place in England whose development relies heavily on tin and iron ores. A horrific mine accident that claimed the lives of dozens of citizens and Jane’s affair with a boy named Thomas, whom she later marries, are events you encounter while reminiscing. Their connection to the disease is the enigmatic part of the game that solves these puzzles like turning on light bulbs in Jane’s brain and finally being able to clear the dementia of the mind. As you progress through the story, you will encounter more complex puzzles as the patient’s thoughts become unstable and shaky with age.

It is an exploratory adventure game with a first-person perspective, the most important part of which is solving story puzzles. The game lasts about five hours. After introducing the game hypothesis to the player, the city of Pinwheel (the main location of the game) opens for him. Must collect red bows tied to objects. Once a puzzle is solved, the memory it shows can be opened. Riddles may involve finding or transporting certain objects, and as the game becomes more difficult and engaging, they simulate the chaos in a demented person’s mind. The player can also teleport to any point in a memory and connect to a virtual room where objects (removed from memories) are stored.

These objects usually have no practical use, but are tied to the image of the game and its purpose. This room also allows the player to access the main areas of the patient’s memory and review their memories from these areas. The player is encouraged to remove all objects found because he is never sure what is important or not. The gameplay changes based on two selectable approaches. The first is on an exploration path free of difficult puzzles that you can finish the story quickly. The other is a deeper, more adventurous stream in which you can solve complex challenges to retrieve patients’ life-changing events to help calm their lives.

Parallel tracks have made this game popular with a wide range of skilled players and enthusiasts of this genre. It also received high marks from reputable and professional websites and received positive reviews from critics who were praised by countless people for their strong personality, good imagery of dementia, graphics and mysterious atmosphere. Several referees also praised the atmosphere and immersion in the game. It’s one of the few games in the genre that took about three years to build, and the development team even said, while announcing their next game, The Occupation , that “they’ve learned a lot from the production of Ether One.” Two games are in one world.

About This Game:

Ether One is a first-person adventure game developed by British independent company White Paper Games. It was the studio’s debut game and was originally released for Microsoft Windows on March 25, 2014. A PlayStation 4 edition was released on May 5, 2015. In Ether One, the player assumes the role of a “Restorer”, whose job is to investigate the thoughts of Jean Thompson, a 69-year-old woman diagnosed with dementia.

The player must reconstruct Thompson’s memories using three-dimensional simulations of the details she can remember in the town of Pinwheel, solving puzzles that become more obtuse throughout the gameplay, as the patient’s thoughts continue to grow more unstable. Ether One took around three years to complete and was released to positive critical reception, particularly for its atmosphere and immersive themes, while its narrative divided critics. The game’s portrayal of dementia in the Jean Thompson character was also praised by numerous critics, such as The New Yorker and Kotaku.
