Telltale Games is one of the most famous studios in the world of video games, which has popular titles such as The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones in its portfolio. The latest installment in the series is based on the popular Minecraft game, but it seems that the studio has not been successful in making this game at all.
The story of the game narrates the life of four heroes who form a group called The Order of the Stone to destroy a mythical creature and after that they separate and face an unknown fate. Years later, a group of friends known as losers seek to win a construction contest called Endercon and meet with a member of The Order of the Stone. The gamer plays Jesse, a member of the losing team. The story of the game is limited to a few simple lines and at first glance it can be seen that its audience is only a certain group of teenagers !. We are used to Tel Tel games having a rich story, but unfortunately in this game Tel Tel acted in the worst possible way and we witnessed a slow and discontinuous storyline. With all these interpretations, it can not be said that you will not be involved in the story of the game in any way.
The game’s graphics, from the design of the menus to the details of the game world, are all borrowed from the original version, and in this sense, you will not have any strange feelings about the game. Apart from this design, the animations are more natural and everything you see and hear conveys the original Minecraft feel. However, the gameplay bears no resemblance to the original version of the game, and in this respect is exactly what we saw in other titles of Tel Tel. The gameplay consists of a selection of dialogues, simple puzzles and a large number of button moments.
At least in the first part, the gamer’s choices are not so revolutionary and do not have such an impact on the game process, but at the end of this episode, this rule is a little different and we saw the direct, albeit small, direct effects of decisions on the game process. Compared to the original version, unfortunately or fortunately, gamers do not have much freedom of action in the game process, such as construction, and we mostly saw the game pay attention to the buttoning process.
Minecraft: Story Mode was one of the most anticipated games of its kind. .
