METSIM The basis of analysis of all chemical and metallurgical processes is mass and energy balance. Plant design, capital costs and technical evaluations all depend on such calculations. METSIM is a general process simulation system designed to assist engineers in performing mass and energy balances of complex processes. METSIM uses a set of computational methods to create an optimal combination of complexity, user time, and computer resource usage. METSIM as an application simulation Process metallurgy was initiated, which was written to perform mass balance around the main unit operation of complex process streams. Applications of this program have been very successful, including accurate heat balance, chemistry, process control, equipment measurement, cost estimation, and process analysis.
