Embedded Ethernet on STM32 Using W5500 for IoT Applications is a complete course for building IoT applications. The W5500 is an excellent chip for adding Internet connectivity to embedded systems via Ethernet. Ethernet is the preferred communication method in industrial automation because it is more reliable and secure than Wi-Fi. No long waiting times for facilities to connect to access points or frequent disconnections. WizNet’s W5500 has a built-in TCP/IP stack, which means we can use MCUs that have very limited computing power and RAM. You don’t need to integrate complex TCP/IP stacks into your MCU’s operating system. Many TCP/IP stacks, such as lwIP, require a real-time operating system to function. Which makes writing the software a bit complicated because the developer needs to be familiar with RTOS programming.
