Python applications course – files, databases, web pages and GUIs. My name is Alison. I am an analytical person with a scientific background and am passionate about solving complex problems. I have a PhD in science and I am currently working as a software developer. I am here to teach you math, chemistry, physics and programming. I present my courses in a clear, logical and structured way. For each topic, I also include an example or exercise to make sure it is clear and understandable. In this training course, we will learn about different programs using the Python language.
1) First, we learn how to create, move and delete files with the pathlib module.
2) Next, we will explain how to read and write from files
3) Next, we will talk about how to read and write from a csv and pdf file
4) Then we will discuss how to create a database using Sqlite3 and how we can import a table that we can read and write from using Structured Query Language (SQL).
5) Next we will talk about web scraping and parsing. We will create a web page using Flask templates with HyperText Markup Language (HTML), which we will then analyze using Beautiful Soup to extract the data of interest.
6) Finally, we will learn how to create a graphical user interface (GUI) with Tkinter. We will look at the different types of GUI components (widgets) as well as how to arrange them in the GUI window (Geometry Managers).
