Description
Course React Native with Typescript – The Practical Guide (2022). React Native with Typescript training course – a practical guide. What is React Native? React Native combines the best parts of native development with React, the best-in-class JavaScript library for building user interfaces. React primitives are exposed to the native platform UI, meaning your app uses the same native platform APIs as other apps. Simply put, with React Native you can create a native app on iOS and Android devices with only one language (JavaScript). Is this course right for you?
If you are planning to start your career as a developer or improve your programming skills, this course is for you. You will gain the confidence and skills to start your own projects. What are you going to work on?
You will create a mobile application “Workout” with JavaScript programming language. The course is divided into several sections (check the syllabus). In the first part, you will set up a development environment simulator and learn more about React Native theory. Immediately after that, you will start working on the program. First, you will learn to create multiple pages (views) and navigate between them. An instructor will show you different ways and techniques to set up the navigation and most importantly how the navigation works. In the next part, you will see some React Native components. Native components are similar to those used in browsers. If you have the basics of HTML, it’s a piece of cake for you to understand these concepts. Loading external resources like fonts is very important for UX. You create a simple resource loader and prepare a function to boot all the initial data your application needs. In the next two lectures, you will create a detailed practice page that displays more detailed information. You will learn how to pass parameters in routing and use them to retrieve data. The next part of the course includes data management, data storage and manipulation. It is important to know where to store data and retrieve it. An instructor will show you the easy way how to do this. As a storage space, you will use the internal memory of your phone (emulator). Hook functions are an essential part of the React environment. You will learn how to use them to receive data. You will be returned to the program details page in the section below. You will learn how to create a reusable component, a modal. A medal window will be responsible for displaying a sequence of training exercises. The main feature of the program is to display a countdown (timer) for the currently active workout. In Section 8, you will work on exactly this feature. An instructor walks you through creating a reusable hook function that provides “countdown” functionality. The countdown function goes hand-in-hand with the current exercise display feature “on” and when the countdown ends, load the next exercise and load the countdown again. In the next section, you’ll work on a form to create an exercise and add or remove exercises in the exercise. This course is being completed by working on the “Topic” feature. This simple function allows users to switch between dark and light theme of the app. The last part of the course includes testing the program on the device and simulators.
