Description
ZylSerialPort.NET is a component for communication with serial port in .NET applications. Using this component, you can easily access serial devices such as modems, barcode readers, GSM modules, etc. and have information transactions with them. In addition to serial devices, you can also read the desired information from USB ports, IrDA and Bluetooth devices. USB, Bluetooth and IrDA devices usually have a driver with them that redirects the input information to a virtual serial port, for this reason this component is able to receive information from these ports as well. If your USB device does not provide such a driver, you must use a USB controller that provides a serial port mechanism. For example FTDI or using a USB/RS-232 adapter.
This component works on the basis of multiple threads, it is completely event-oriented coding and performs processes asynchronously so that the user interface of the program does not become frozen. ZylSerialPort.NET is completely written in C# language and under the .NET framework, and you will not need another dependent library to use it. Along with this component, there is also a demo version of the sample program that shows the performance of the program in real form. This demo is available for both C# and VB for the 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015 versions of Visual Studio and in Winform and WPF formats, which you can find out about the functionality of this component by checking their code.
