Share settings on the network

Fixed a problem with accessing share files in Windows 10

Today, we can easily communicate between computers without the need to move hard drives and storage devices such as flash, using settings related to sharing or file sharing, and transfer information easily and without hassle.

If you have Windows 10, you will notice that you can no longer easily connect to shared network folders on users’ computers or other devices without sharing settings, and an error appears when trying to open any folder on the network. You can easily open shared network folders from other computers on the network that have older versions of Windows, such as 8 or 7, or smartphones and other devices, and connect to the desired folder for access.

Enable discovery settings in Windows

In public networks, network discovery is enabled to a lesser extent. If you want to access your system remotely or view it through other systems, you must set the network type to private or Home.

  • Thus, first right-click on the connection connected to the Internet and select the setting open network & Internet option, and then open the change advanced sharing option option in the window that opens.
