CrossVcl A set of tools for developers Delphi are able to create VCL applications for macOS and Linux with Embarcadero Delphi. CrossVcl is a VCL emulator? CrossVcl is not an emulator, it is a WinAPI implementation for another platform. Cross Vcl only covers the UI of WinAPI (except DirectX) required by VCL. For non-UI software part you should use Cross-Platform protocol from RTL and other frameworks. The all new Embarcadero Delphi compiler is based on LLVM technology and is called the next generation compiler. The Nextgen compiler supports AnsiString, ShortString, embedded assembler code, and the use of ARC models for all objects.
