Kali Linux is a Linux distribution based on Debian Linux and is one of the favorite distributions of hackers, hackers, and security professionals. This distribution is provided by Offensive Security. Mati Aharon, Devon Kearns, and Raphaël Hertzog are the main developers of this distribution who created this operating system by rewriting BackTrack. Kali Linux brings together the best hacking and security tools.
Tools include Armitage – graphical tool for managing cyber attacks, Nmap – a very powerful and versatile scanner port, Wireshark – network packet data analyst, John Ripper – a very popular cracker password, Aircrack-ng – a tool for testing the intrusion of wireless networks, Burp Suite and OWASP ZAP are both website security scanners and a total of over 300 useful tools, all of which are installed and ready to use.
Kali Linux can also be used as an installation on the hard drive or as a live boot disk or on flash memory. You can also install and use it on a virtual machine like VMWare. Kali Linux is a distribution based on the Debian Linux distribution, so most of the packages you see in Kali are imported from Debian repositories. Kali Linux has been developed in a secure environment, meaning that only a handful of approved people can commit their packages, and all of these packages are signed by the developer. Kali also has a modified core that is patched and coordinated for penetration and scalability.
A minimum of 20 GB disk space for the Kali Linux install.
RAM for i386 and amd64 architectures, minimum: 1GB, recommended: 2GB or more.
CD-DVD Drive / USB boot support
Burn ISO files to flash or DVD and boot and use the system with it. Of course, it must also have tools that run on the operating system.
