Stable version of Magic UI 4.0 update released for Honor 20 and V20. This update is based on Huawei EMUI 11 and Google Android 10.
Honor, the newly independent brand from Huawei, has officially confirmed that it wants to continue releasing software updates for its older handsets. In this regard, it is reported that the Honor 20 and Honor V20 family phones have received a stable version of the Magic UI 4.0 update.
A stable version of this update was recently released for these phones in China. Now the global version of the three phones Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro and Honor V20 have also succeeded in receiving it. This update comes with the firmware version 18.104.22.168 and its size is about 1.84 GB.
This software version is based on EMUI 11, the user interface based on Huawei Android 10, which does not use Google mobile services. Huawei introduced the EMUI 11 in September 2020. And because it faced US sanctions, it was not allowed to make the Android 11 update available to its users.
In any case, the interface is said to be more advanced in areas such as privacy settings for image sharing, image galleries, ringtones, user interface animations, two-window mode, and more. The Magic UI 4.0 update is also based on the same user interface, and you can expect to get the same features as EMUI. Some of these changes that will be added to your phone after updating to the new Magic UI include the following:
- Professional themes
- Improved dual window mode
- Smoother animations
- A more professional note-taking application
- Delicate effects
- Rhythmic ringtones
- Privacy in sharing images and taking notes
It has not been long since the release of this update; So if you own one of these Honor phones, you may receive it late in the coming days. Huawei also plans to build a bridge soon to migrate users of its flagship handsets to the HarmonyOS platform. Given that Honor has left the company, it remains to be seen whether the company’s handsets will continue to use the Huawei-based platform, which is included.
