・Have finished learning MISJ NOVICE PROGRAM LEVEL 2 up to about 80% or have some experience of learning Japanese and willingness to learn more about the Japanese language and culture
・Basic Japanese language listening ability. Although critical explanations are given in English, lessons are going on mainly in Japanese, which is supposed to be understandable for those who have finished learning up to MISJ NOVICE PROGRAM LEVEL
・Can read at least ひらがな, カタカナ
・「かんじ」reading ability is not required actually, although previously learned 「かんじ」characters are used to show vocabulary. The instructor reads every word written in 「かんじ」and rarely checks 「かんじ」reading ability. You can read review materials without 「かんじ」reading ability.
