Oppo unveiled two new handsets called Oppo A74 and A74 5G in news silence. In the following, we will discuss the specifications of Oppo A74 and its 5G version.
Oppo may not have planned to introduce these devices in advance, but as it is, now the Oppo A74 and its 5G version have been officially introduced. The specifications of these phones are available in two stores in the Philippines and on the website of Oppo’s Cambodia. Details of the Oppo A74 5G have been released in Thailand.
The 4G A74 uses a 6.43-inch OLED display with 1080p + resolution. The refresh rate of this display is 60 Hz and its touch sampling rate will be 180 Hz (in previous intermediates this number was 135 Hz). The display quality is good and it covers the whole sRGB color spectrum and DCI-P3 color spectrum up to 92%. Below the display is a fingerprint sensor.
The beating heart of this device is Snapdragon 662 and 6 GB of RAM is provided for it. It looks like this device will be available in a version with 128 GB of memory. The operating system of the device will be Android 11 based on ColorOS 11.1.
In the 5G version of the device, we see the use of a Snapdragon 480 chip (8 nanometers). The RAM of this version is 6 GB and its storage capacity is 128 GB. The modem installed on this device for 5G will offer a download speed of up to 2.1 Gbps.
Another difference between the two versions is the 90Hz refresh rate and the 180Hz touch sampling rate in this version. In addition, the Oppo A 745G display is capable of 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 range. Due to the LCD of the display, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the side of the device.
The Oppo A74 4G has a 5000 mAh battery with 33 watt charge support. The promotional images that have been released are not complete at the moment, but it is said that you can charge your phone 54% in 30 minutes. It will take 72 minutes to fully charge the device. In the initial tests, 18 hours of video watching and 10 hours of play were announced for the battery of this phone.
In terms of communication, we see a USB-C port (USB 2.0), a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with aptX. The lack of NFC is also one of the points that attracts attention in this phone.
In the 4G model, the main sensor used is 48 megapixels. Two 2-megapixel modules, one for depth detection and one for macro images, complete the A74 camera suite. On the front we see a 16-megapixel selfie camera. For video recording, you will have a limit of 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second.
The A74 5G also has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The disappointing thing about this phone is the 5000 mAh battery with 18 watt charge.
The 4G model will have a price tag of $ 255 (€ 210) and pre-sale has begun. On the Shopee website, this phone has a 4% discount. You can get this version in black colors (Prism Black) and blue (Midnight Blue).
The 5G version is priced at $ 285 (€ 245). Pre-sale of this phone has also started in stores in Thailand and the Philippines.
