Recently, the Redmi K40 series was officially introduced. It is now said that the Poco F3 will be the Redmi K40 brand in the global market.
Last week, Xiaomi officially unveiled the Redmi K40 series in China. Since then, rumors have been circulating that it will be available in global markets under the Poco brand. The device has now been approved by the US FCC and the ambiguities have been removed.
Poco F3 is supposed to be the new brand of Redmi K40 for global markets. This makes us expect a Poco F3 Pro, which could be one of the brand new K40 Pro or K40 Pro Plus devices.
Let’s go back to Poco F3 and the specifications of this phone. This model, which will be the Redmi K40, is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 chip with 5G support. Adreno 650 GPU, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 memory are provided for this model.
The phone will be available in 128 and 256 GB internal memory with 6, 8 and 12 GB of RAM. There is a triple camera on the back of the device. The main camera of the device is 48 megapixels, and next to it, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The device’s selfie camera will also be 20 megapixels. In addition, we see a 4520 mAh battery with a fast charge of 33 watts.
The phone has a 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The K40 will ship with the MIUI 12 user interface based on the Android 11 operating system. Depending on the exact time the device is available in global markets, Xiaomi may use MIUI 12.5 for the Poco F3.
