SmartAssembly is a tool for obscuring code and reporting errors that helps .NET developers build quality applications. This comprehensive solution protects your .NET code and adds error reporting capabilities. This program makes it difficult for hackers to reverse engineer and understand the basic structure of the code by disassembling and injecting unused code. With Smart Assembly, you will have a wide range of capabilities for obfuscating code such as string encoding, dynamic referencing, code execution process blurring, and more.
It also decodes stack traces and generates PDB files containing debugging information. This allows you to debug your assemblies into the IDE and see the full error stack trace when faced with an extension. Smart Assembly also helps ensure that unused space is automatically emptied. The obfuscation process can be combined with the building mechanism with the help of the MS Build tool or its command-line version and supports .NET 2.0 to 4.5, Silverlight 2.0 to 5.0, XNA framework, and Windows Phone 7.
