With ReportBuilder Enterprise, in addition to all the features of ReportBuilder Professional, you also have access to RAPlanguage software, which allows developers and users to compute code and manage complex event (Event Handler) at runtime. RAP allows all reports, including data reports, calculations, and the work environment, to be stored outside the software implementation environment.
In ReportBuilder software, the reporting structure is considered. The reporting structure divides reporting into four parts: data access + data processing + report display format = report output.
In ReportBuilder Enterprise software, the goal is to send a complete report to the user. This is accomplished by submitting a visual report, providing easy solutions for each of these four steps.
Each of these four reporting environments has its own unique tab that has a visual environment for constructing and adjusting the components of the environment under its control. Next, the output of each environment constitutes the input of the next environment: the data is fed to the computing environment, and the computation is used as the input of the components within the ReportBuilder Enterprise for each of the environments described below.
Work environments and features in the ReportBuilder component:
Data: In the DATA tab work environment, the user can easily create data tables (DataViews) that can be the same data that make up the report. These tables are usually easy to create through the Query Wizard or Query Designer. Both tools are intuitive and allow the user to select the tables, fields, search rules, and sorts required by the report. Behind the scenes, an SQL statement is generated and used to read the data from the database.
Calc (RAP: Calc environment is used to manage RAP codes related to reports. Calc environment contains a tree structure of the report that contains the objects and contents of the report. By selecting any of the objects, the user can code the event manager in an editing environment. Will have special coding.
Design: The Design environment includes the presentation format of the report. Professional user interface with many features. With an environment like Office 97, which makes it easy for the user to use in a familiar environment. Also, for the simplicity of the work, you can use the wizard of this environment to prepare a report.
Preview: This environment is used to view a preview of the prepared report. It is also possible to print the final report or save it in any other format.
This component is presented in several editions, the most complete version after Server editing is Enterprise editing.
