A blog post by John Kabul, Windows program manager and senior vice president at Microsoft, outlines the new features of the Windows 10 21H1 update.
The main focus of this update is to improve security, quality and remote access for users. The most important new feature to be added to Windows 10 is the ability to set up an external webcam as a way to authenticate in Windows. This feature is especially useful when using the Windows Hello feature. Also, if you are using a desktop and do not have a webcam by default, this update will help you a lot.
Elsewhere, we’ll see an update to Windows Defender that will improve Application Guard performance. It will also fix a problem that delayed the opening of documents in the Microsoft Defender Application Guard Office.
In addition, Microsoft will improve support for telecommuting scenarios and optimize the performance of telecommuters. Users who are members of the Beta Insider program are now able to download the new Windows update. This update will be officially released soon.
