Ways to speed up file copy in Windows
An important point to know before explaining the methods of increasing the speed of copying files in Windows is that if you have antivirus installed on your PC, disable it by selecting the Disable Real Time Protection option, because in many cases you see Turning on and protecting your antivirus has been shown to slow data transmission.
The first method
Increase the speed of copying files in Windows through the Registry
To use this method, you must simultaneously press the Windows and R buttons to open Run , then type and search for ” regedit “.

Now in the opened page, right-click on the Optimize drives option , select Properties , select Start , change the Startup type option to Automatic , and finally Apply and OK .

Search for command prompt in Windows, right-click and select Run as administrator . Now type the following command and press Enter to execute it.
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel = disabled

Restart the system after running.

5. Next, select Better Performance and check Enable write caching on the device and click OK .

Note that now, you must be careful to disconnect the USB from the computer and always use the secure hardware feature, otherwise data loss may occur.

Speed up file copying in Windows by checking for driver errors
Check for hard disk errors, external hard disk, USB. Just right-click on the hard drive and then click on the Tools tab . Now click on the check option to fix the errors in the drive.

The seventh method
Increase copy speed in Windows by updating the USB driver
Simultaneously press the Windows key and R to open Run , then type and search for ” devmgmt.msc “.

Right-click on the Universal Serial Bus Controller drivers option and select Update driver .

The eighth method
Increase file copy speed in Windows through Disk Cleanup
The dsk into the search bar open Disk Cleanup open.
Now select the system partition and click ok . Then click Clean system files and select system partition again. Check all the boxes and click OK .
