Windows Speed Tricks

After working with Windows for a while, we will see a drop in speed and performance, and this slowdown happens to most users.
Users who work with computers and laptops most of the time are very nervous about slowing down their system, and one of their main solutions is to change Windows, but by changing Windows, all the software must be reinstalled, which may save a lot of information. Removed in the software.
In this article, we will introduce you to solutions to increase the speed of Windows.

Increase RAM

RAM is one of the factors influencing the speed of Windows  , and the more RAM there is, the faster the computer.
The task of RAM is to process the commands that the CPU executes. So having a high RAM and increasing its memory has a great impact on computer performance.
We recommend that when you buy a computer, install RAM on the system that has a high memory, at least RAM 4 and 6 are suitable for medium systems.

Use of SSD hard drive

Computers support two types of hard drives, SSD and HHD, which have medium-speed HHD memory, but SSDs have high read and write speeds , which significantly speed up Windows , and also greatly reduce boot time to Stable mode.

SSDs are more expensive than HHDs, but they have a huge impact on the speed of your Windows , so we recommend that you use SSDs.

Delete extra files

If you have a lot of photos and videos on your system, the number of extra and unnecessary files for you is high and they take up hard disk space under the name of Thumbnails.

It’s a good idea to delete these extra files from your hard drive every few days, which can speed up your computer .

To delete extra files in Windows, just search for “Disk Cleanup” in the search field.

Then confirm that the extra files are deleted in the drive and click OK as shown below and the cleanup operation may take a few seconds.

Disable Windows Tips

One of the things that bothers some users when working with Windows is the Tips section, which Windows tries to guide you in different areas according to your activity.

The problem with activating Tips is that memory and CPU are involved, which slows down Windows .

So disabling Windows Tips can help speed up Windows.

Follow the steps below to disable it:

First, right-click on the Start menu.

Select the setting option.

Then click on system and from the left menu click on Notification & action.

Disable the Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use windows option as shown below.

Disable applications that open automatically when the computer is turned on

Programs that you install in Windows configure themselves to run automatically when Windows starts and are running in the background.

You may not always use these programs, and activating these programs will consume a lot of resources from your system, and this factor will slow down Windows.

Follow the steps below to disable programs when starting Windows:

First go to setting.

Enter the App section.

Select the Startup option.

Now click on the Sort by option and select the Startup impact option.

In this section, turn off unnecessary programs, especially programs called High Impact.

After completing the above steps, restart the system and now you will see an increase in the speed of your computer.

Disable apps running in the background

When running Windows, some programs that you may not be using are still running, causing Windows to slow down.

Follow the steps below to disable background apps:

First go to setting.

Then click on Privacy.

Select the Background apps option.

Turn off the checkbox for apps that you want to prevent running in the background.

Delete temp files

When working with Windows, a folder called temp is created, which is created for running programs, and files are created inside that help the process to work properly.

After working with the software, these files are no longer useful and it is better to delete them because after a while they may occupy a few gigs of your hard drive memory.

It is best to clear temp files from your hard drive every week and follow these steps to delete temp files:

First click on the Windows button.

Search for the word run.

In the box that opens, type% temp% and click ok.

In the window that opens, you will see temp files that take up a lot of hard disk space.

Delete all the files and this will speed up Windows.

Prevent hard disk memory from filling up

One of the factors slowing down Windows is overfilling your hard drive.

Always pay attention to your hard drive space so that more than 80% of your hard drive space is not wasted because it has a high impact on slowing down Windows and one way to prevent this is to use Storage Sense, which has the task of clearing unnecessary files.

To use Storage Sense, follow these steps:

First, go to the setting section.

Enter the System section.

Click on Storage.

In the Local Disk section, click Temporary files.

In this section you can browse the files you want to delete.

Then click on Remove files.

Defragmentation tool

The task of this tool is to speed up the system and storage space, ابزار This tool is used for HDD memory, if it is an SSD from your hard drive, you do not need to use this tool.

Follow the steps below to run the Defragmention tool:

First, go to the setting section.

Enter the System section.

Click on Storage.

Go to the More storage settings section and click on Optimize Drives.

Select the desired driver.

Click on Optimize.

The tool then starts sorting the files so that it can easily find the files next time and reduce the process time.

Enable Ready Boost

If you are using older devices and your storage memory is HHD, it is better to use the Ready Boost tool.

To activate, first connect a USB flash drive to the computer and follow the steps below:

Enter the File Explorer section.

Click on This PC.

In the Devices and drives section, right-click on the USB flash drive and select Properties.

Click on the Ready Boost tab.

Select the Dedicate this device to ReadyBoost option.

Now click on ok.

Note: Using this method on SSD drives is ineffective and preferably use it on HHD drives.
