You will also have the opportunity to practice key job skills using Google Cloud to build networks, implement VPCs, configure network services, and implement hybrid connectivity among other things. Learners will work with VPC networks that span multiple regions. They will use open source tools to gather network information including latency, connectivity and traffic. They will use this information to determine where network performance can be improved. They will build a minimal web application with Google Application Engine and then explore different ways to use Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP) to restrict application access and provide user identity information to it. They create different types of load balancers and see how they can improve network performance. Finally, they will build and test a high-throughput VPN between a simulated VPC and the internal network environment.
This will involve building VPN gateways and a tunnel between the two networks. This course introduces important concepts and terms for working with Google Cloud. Through video and hands-on labs, this course presents and compares many of Google Cloud’s computing and storage services, along with important policy and resource management tools. This self-paced training course provides participants with an extensive study of networking options in Google Cloud. Through recorded lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on labs, participants explore and deploy Google Cloud networking technologies such as Google Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks, subnets, and firewalls. This course also covers network access control, network sharing, and load balancing.
