This module introduces all the elements of a valid contract: agreement, consideration, capacity, legality, and consent to the Statute of Frauds. At the end of this module, you will be able to recognize a valid and enforceable contract and identify the reasons why a contract is not enforceable. You will get to know the special rules that are applied in the contracts for the sale of goods. A set of rules, known as Article 2 of the UCC, amends the common law rules governing contract formation, and this module will detail these amendments. By the end of this course, you will be able to determine which contracts are governed by Article 2 of the UCC and how they differ from contracts that do not involve the sale of goods.
