This course covers both theoretical foundations and practical applications of vector computation. During the first week, students will learn about scalar and vector fields. In the second week, they will separate the fields. The third week focuses on multidimensional integration and curved coordinate systems. Line and surface integrals are covered in week four, while week five examines fundamental theorems of vector calculus, including the gradient theorem, divergence theorem, and Stokes’ theorem. These theorems are essential for engineering subjects such as electromagnetism and fluid mechanics. Note that this course may also be known as Multivariate Calculus or Calculus 3 in some universities. The prerequisite for this course is two semesters of one-variable calculus. The course consists of 53 short lecture videos, each with a few problems to solve. After each main topic, there is a short practice test. At the end of each week, there is an assessment question. Solutions to practical problems and tests can be found in the lecture notes provided by the professor.
