IBM Rational, formerly known as Rational Rose, is a specialized software for software modeling using object orientation. Modeling in this software is done by the most famous modeling language, UML. This software can perform component construction and visual modeling of software at a professional level. Using Rational Rose, you can, as soon as the diagram is created, register it and then generate the code of the designer’s choice in C++, Visual Basic, Java, Corba and Oracle8 languages. One of the advantages of this software is that it can model the process of “repetitive (evolutionary) development” and “round-trip engineering”.
Iterative development process modeling allows you to model your new application in stages so that the output of each stage is the input of the next stage. The developer then understands how the components have been replicated and made changes to the design. Rational Rose has the ability to go back and update the rest of the code written to ensure that the code remains stable (reverse engineering). He also used this software to model databases and develop web applications using UML.
