Description
PSR SDDP is a stochastic distribution model for electrical systems representing transmission, gas, and hydrogen networks used in long-term, medium-term, and short-term operation studies. It is very flexible in terms of temporal and spatial level of detail. In the time dimension, it can show very long decision horizons (several decades) with weekly or monthly stages and intra-stage separation of load blocks or hours. In short, it can manage the detailed operations of small islands to the study of regional markets integrating several national power systems. SDDP aims to minimize total costs and maximize revenue in the energy market. Costs include purchase and transportation of fuel for thermal power plants, pollutant emission costs, hydro and thermal power plant costs, transmission cycle rates, cost of unsupplied energy and other penalties. Revenue includes trading in energy, water and hydrogen markets. SDDP generates more than 450 reports in Excel-compatible formatted files. The results are managed by a graphical interface that extracts the desired statistics and creates a graph directly in Excel. In addition, the collected results such as average marginal costs, total production and total costs are generated in CSV format reports and can be shared via a web link through a dashboard.
Features and features of PSR SDDP software:
-
Hydroelectric power plants: detailed display for each reservoir; storage limitations and flow rates through turbines, spillways, overflow effect, infiltration, etc.; random flow model that shows seasonality, time and spatial correlations; modeling of special climatic phenomena; incremental limits, etc.;
-
Thermoelectric power plants: unit commitment limits, fuel availability, fuel contracts (including withdrawal or payment clauses), thermal efficiency curves, emissions of carbon dioxide and other pollutants, incremental limits;
-
System operation statistics: production, transfer flows, emissions, deficit risks, and costs
-
Marginal location costs (area and bus level)
-
Marginal costs of capacity: the incremental benefit of strengthening a resource
-
Transmission density costs
