Description
The Imam Ali (AS) series, also known as Shahid Kufa, is the name of a historical series directed by Daoud Mir Bagheri in the Islamic Republic of Iran Radio and Television. This series is a product of 1375-1375. A movie version has also been prepared from this television series.
The beginning and process of the Imam Ali (AS) series
In 1370, when Ali Larijani was president of Sed and Sima, Dawood Mirbagheri presented a serial script titled “Khari der Golu” based on Ali’s life to Sed and Sima. Mir Bagheri was asked to rewrite his script and this process and the application of amendments are repeated several times. Finally, with the approval of the television officials at the time, the first important religious historical series of Sed and Sima was launched in such dimensions. “Khari Dar Golu” which refers to the “Shakshaqiyyah” sermon of Ali Ibn Abi Talib in Nahj al-Balagheh, went in front of the camera in 1373 with the presence of 150 main actors and more than 5,000 artists from the army.
The production of the series lasted for four years, and due to the pioneering nature of the series compared to other TV productions until that time, the creators faced many problems and concerns, but finally, the series began to be broadcast in 1375 and 1376 on Ik Sima channel.

The story of this series starts from the end of the caliphate period of Uthman bin Affan and covers the last five years and the caliphate period of the life of Ali bin Abi Talib.
