DRAINS one Program It is multipurpose for the design and analysis of drainage and urban wastewater treatment systems. DRAINS can handle drainage systems of any size from small to very large (up to 10 km using multiple submarines with ARR 2016 and ILSAX hydrology, and Using a storage routing hydrology model) slow modeling. During a storm event, it transforms rainfall patterns into runoff hydrographs through a number of time steps and directs these paths through networks of pipes, detention basins, channels, and streams.
It provides a graphical Windows interface and users can draw drainage system components such as sub-mains, manholes, pipes and spillways. By right-clicking on a component, a pop-up menu will appear with a list of options that you can select according to your needs, enter your information, and view the results in different formats. DRAINS is capable of performing hydrologic modeling using ARR2016, ILSAX, logic method, and storage routing models, along with unconventional hydraulic modeling of pipe and open channel systems. This package includes an automated design method for plumbing drainage systems, connections to CAD and GIS programs, and a guidance system.
